32rd Edition Corciano International Contest for
Original Band Composition

The 32nd edition of the Corciano International Contest for Original Band Composition, promoted and organized by ProLoco Corciano and DIBA – Italian Band Directors Association, has just ended.

The Jury was composed by:
Franco CESARINI (Switzerland), composer and conductor – PRESIDENT
Felix HAUSWIRTH (Switzerland), conductor
Hardy MERTENS (the Nederlands), composer and consuctor
Luca SALVADORI (Italy), composer and teacher at Frosinone Conservatory
Denis SALVINI (Italy), conductor

worked on scores coming from Italy, USA, Spain, Colombia, Brazil, Taiwan, and gave the following prizes:

1st PRIZE– SEASONAL RITES by Pedro SALINAS ROBLES, Spain, winner of 32nd edition of the Corciano International Contest for Original Band Composition

2nd PRIZE – not assigned

special mention– SCENES FROM BASHO by Antòn ALCALDE RODRIGUEZ, Spain/Taiwan.

Special prize for 500th anniversary of painter Pietro Vannucci, known as “Il Perugino”
