A collection of five works by Franco Cesarini’s, all published in 2002.
The most notable work is Blue Horizons, a piece about the sea and its creatures which consists of three movements that follow each other without interruption.
This CD also features Ceresio, a march that takes us to the Italian part of Switzerland where Franco Cesarini’s was born, while Greek Folk Song Suite is a trip to Greece and his dances. A piece that reveals the composer’s fascination for folk music.
Tom Sawyer Suite brings us back to Franco Cesarini’s childhood, when The Adventures of Tom Sawyer was his favourite book. With his memories of the magic of joy, fear and freedom, Cesarini has translated into music the characters of the book.
Solemnitas takes inspiration from an event that each year takes in a small city in the German part of Switzerland to celebrate youth.
