| The Ceresio, also called Lugano Lake, is located in the sub-alpine area between Lake Como and Lake Maggiore. Two-thirds of its surface is on Swiss territory, while the remaining one-third belongs to Italy. The lake has a peculiar shape, sinuous and characteristic for its unevenness. Along its shores, there are numerous tourist sites such as the city of Lugano, which stands out for its beauty. Commissioned in 2001 by the Lugano Police to celebrate their 100th anniversary, Ceresio is a piece with a Latin flavour, which is especially noticeable in the trio section. |
